RISKS & DANGERS

• ​I understand and I am aware that the use of a cold plunge poses certain risks and dangers. Individuals who knowing or unknowing have the following conditions should seek guidance by the personal physician. 

  • Cardiovascular Issues, Obesity or Diabetes

    • Individuals suffering form obesity or with a medical history of heart disease, low or high blood pressure, circulatory problems or diabetes should consult a physician prior to use. 

  • Medications​

    • Individuals who are using prescription drugs should seek advice of their personal physician since some medications may induce drowsiness, while others affect heart rate, blood pressure and circulation.​

  • Elderly​

    • The ability to maintain core body temperature decreases with age. This is primarily  due to circulatory conditions. The body must be able to activate its natural heating processes. ​

  • Pregnancy

    • Pregnant women, or those who think they may be pregnant, should consult their personal physician before using a cold plunge​.​​

  • Allergies

    • I understand that I will be entering a cold plunge that is treated with chlorine (i.e., sodium dichloro-s-triazinetrione). If individuals with a known allergy to chlorine should not enter the cold plunge.

  • Open Wounds

    • Despite the use of chlorine, I understand that I am entering a cold plunge that will be shared by other individuals. Individuals with open wounds should refrain from entering the cold plunge.

• Slip and Fall

  • I understand that the area around the cold plunge may be slippery and that extreme caution must be used when entering and leaving the cold plunge.

• Pain and Discomfort​

  • In the rare event you experience pain and discomfort during the cold plunge session, you agree to immediately discontinue using the cold plunge.​​

• Drugs and Alcohol​

  • Individuals who are under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol are prohibited from using the cold plunges. ​​
